I’ve always wanted to be a part of a book club, but never really found the right fit for my personal taste and reading pace. I love to read, and sometimes I can plough through book after another, while sometimes it may take me up to a month (!) to finish one book.
The majority of book clubs I’ve been a part of (in real life or online) have all had one thing in common which did not always appeal to me…everyone is reading the same book and they would come together once a month to talk about it. I don’t know about you, but to me it feels too much like being back in English class and everyone reading the same book – some like it, some hate it, and some just have no idea what the heck is going on.
So thus the idea for the BYOB Club was born! Everyone likes to read different genres and types of books that others may not have heard of, or would like to read them but don’t have a chance to. Instead of just having one book a month, perhaps we can all share what books we’ve been reading (or even re-reading) and enjoying.
Stay tuned for February’s BYOB Club post 🙂
